Gayle Coleman – In Memoriam (1954-2017)

Gayle Coleman passed away on June 13, 2017, after a long battle with breast cancer. Her death was a great loss to her family, her friends, the local community and this law firm. Gayle was a well-respected attorney and a wonderful person. She was all about giving, helping the less fortunate, and donating her time and expertise to charities.

After surviving leukemia in 2012, Gayle became a member of the south Palm Beach County Board of Directors for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS). She was an active member of this Board and was a successful fundraiser in annual LLS events, Light the Night and Man and Woman of the Year. She was also an ardent supporter of JAFCO (Jewish Adoption and Foster Care Options). She loved the idea of helping abused or neglected children and donating time and resources to help them. Gayle also encouraged her friends and family to do the same. In addition, over the past two decades, she supported the following charities: Boca Raton Art Museum; Boca Raton Regional Hospital; and the Morikami Museum and Gardens.

At her funeral, there were numerous testimonials about her kindness, generosity, thoughtfulness, and her dedication to family, friends and charitable pursuits. Over 275 people attended the celebration of her special and extraordinary life. In accordance with her wishes, black attire was not allowed, and the chapel was full of color just like Gayle’s life.

In honor of her memory and exemplary life, the firm name continues as Rader & Coleman. The firm thanks the clients and friends who made charitable contributions in memory of Gayle. If you wish to make a contribution, the following are the preferred charities: JAFCO, LLS, and Boca Raton Regional Hospital Foundation (breast cancer research).
